Edith Mitchell Smith, 77, of the 600 block of North Curtis Street, a homemaker, died Nov. 26, 1994, in her home.
She was a native of Bertie County, N.C., and was a member of Ahoskie First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Wilbur Morris ``Skinny'' Smith; two sons, Eddie Smith of Ahoskie, and Steven Smith of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Garrett Funeral home, Ahoskie, by the Rev. Jesse Croom and the Rev. Robert May. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Roanoke Chowan Hospice, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910.
