Lillian Bess Dickens, 71, widow of Harold Underwood Dickens, died Nov. 26, 1994.
Mrs. Dickens was born on May 14, 1923, to Russell S. and Lillian Bess Powell. She was an insurance secretary with the Jack Wardlaw Insurance Agency in Raleigh for 25 years.
Surviving are her sisters, Doris Jean Simpson of Grandy, N.C., and Mary F. Matthews of Virginia Beach, Va.; and several nieces and a nephew.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at noon in Raleigh National Cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial contributions may do so to Hospice of Wake Co., 4513 Creedmore Road, 4th Floor, Raleigh, N.C. 27612. Brown-Wynne Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
