Edna Holloman McKay, formerly of the 1400 block of Hillandale Rd., died Nov. 24, 1994, in Sentara Nursing Center.
She was a native of Norfolk and was the daughter of the late John and Annie T. Holloman. She was the widow of Roland A. McKay. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and was faithful until her health prevented her from attending regularly. She was active in many phases of the church life, especially the Female Usher Board. She was also a very proud lady whose radiant smile generated lasting friendships.
She is survived by a niece, Cynthia Lindsey; three nephews, Christopher McKay, Langston A. McKay, and Myron J. McKay; and several cousins and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church, 418 E. Bute Street, by the Rev. Robert G. Murray. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at noon Tuesday. The family will be at 1029 Norwich Ave., Virginia Beach, the home of Christopher and Juanita McKay.
