Abe Goldblatt, 79, of the 400 block of Rockbridge Road, a journalist, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mr. Goldblatt, a native of Portsmouth, was a journalist with The Virginian-Pilot since 1931. He was a member of Elks Lodge 82, and Elk of the Year in 1979. He was a member of the Sports Clubs of Portsmouth and Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Goldblatt; two daughters, Robin McDonald of Virginia Beach and Eve Petrucelli of Granger, Ind., two sons, Dan Goldblatt of Virginia Beach and Adam Goldblatt of Chesapeake; a brother Samuel Goldblatt of Norfolk; and eight grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today by Rabbi Philip S. Krohn in Evergreen Memorial Park, Portsmouth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Hope House Foundation, 201 Granby St., Norfolk, Va. 23510. Foster Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
