Ella M. Kirby Edmunds, of the 6500 block of Whitehorn Drive, a housewife, died Friday, Nov. 25, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Edmunds was born in Paces, Va., and was the daughter of the late Phillip and Mattie Terry Kirby. She was the widow of Reuben O. Edmunds. Although she lived in Norfolk, she maintained her membership at New Arbor Baptist Church in South Boston, Va.
Survivors include three daughters, Gloria Edmunds of Raleigh, N.C., Glenda Edmunds and Jacqueline Edmunds, both of Norfolk; a son, Dennis C. Edmunds of Virginia Beach; five sisters, Cora Watkins of New York and Lucille Thornton and Martha Thompson, both of Philadelphia, Pa., and Elnora Robinson and Thelma Wharton, both of Baltimore; two brothers, John Kirby of Paces, Va., and Roger Kitby of Burkeville, Va.; two grandchildren, Dawn Edmunds and Dennis C. Edmunds Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Eric Edmunds and Brandon Edmunds.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in New Arbor Baptist Church, Route 3, Road 659, South Boston, Va., by the Rev J. Michael Nelson. Burial will be in the Kirby Family Cemetery, Paces, Va. The family will receive friends in Riddick Funeral Service Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The family will also be at the home of her son, 1442 Lake Geneva Drive, Virginia Beach.
