Barbara Parker Chalkley, 72, of the 100 block of 53rd Street, died December 1, 1994, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mrs. Chalkley was born in Winchester, Virginia, and has been a resident of Virginia Beach for the last 25 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Chalkley was a member of The Cavalier Garden Club and a past member of King's Daughters Circle.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Jane C. Coleman of Norfolk, Va.; Molly C. Vale of Charlottesville, Virginia; 2 sons, David Parker Chalkley of Charles City, Virginia, and James Catlin Chalkley of Virginia Beach, Va.; and 3 grandchildren.
A church service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 3, 1994, in First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach by Dr. J. Scottie Griffin. Burial will be Sunday, December 4, 1994, in Monticello Memory Gardens in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Virginia Beach Rescue Squad or First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
