Lindsey Bass, 78, of Route 1 died Dec. 2, 1994 in Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
Mr. Bass was born Jan. 24, 1916 in Chowan County, N.C. He was a retired maintenance worker for a cotton mill and the widower of Rose Pierce Bass. He was a member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Doris Bunch, Brenda Turner and Kay Belch, all of Edenton, and Lillian Bass of Baltimore, Md.; three sons, Jesse Bass and Bobby Bass, both of Edenton, and Donny Bass of the Outer Banks; four sisters, Lizzie Pierce, Lena Bunch, Cora Evans and Lessie Layton, all of Edenton; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Beaver Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Meridith Garrett. Williford-Barham Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
