Garland L. Bright, 81, of the 5500 block of Buzzard Neck Road, a retired farmer, died Dec. 2, 1994, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mr. Bright was born in Princess Anne County. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Essie Bonney Bright; a daughter, Gayle B. Rollins; two sons, Bonney G. Bright and Bruce E. Bright; and three sisters, Hattie Spence, Elsie Hobbs and Page Hartley, all of Virginia Beach; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Charity Cemetery by the Rev. Frank T. Jennings. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Creeds Fire & Rescue, 5677 Morris Neck Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23457.
