I have found the postelection letters submitted by your readers very interesting. However, after reading ``North didn't have a prayer'' (letter, Nov. 21), I was completely alarmed, astonished, shocked and disappointed that anyone would voice such an uninformed opinion.
North campaigned against numerous political personnel, including Chuck Robb, Marshall Coleman, John Warner, Doug Wilder, Nancy Reagan, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Jesse Jackson and, of course, the liberal media.
Considering the odds, North's being defeated by a mere 3 percent of the total vote demonstrates that he had a prayer, and then some.
