John Allen ``Dick'' Dixon, 85, of the 4100 block of Everette St., a retired packer, died Dec. 1, 1994, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mr. Dixon was born in Princess Anne County. He retired from Norfolk Naval Supply Center, was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Board Deacons and former president of the usher board. He was a member of Club Men On The Move.
Survivors include his wife, Ida V. Dixon; a daughter, Paula Ann Dixon of Baltimore, Md.; and two grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. William Darryl Scott Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Fitchett Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will receive visitors at 112 Irving St., Norfolk. The wake service will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday.
