Helen Thomas Gentry, 69, of the 1100 block of Myrtle St., died Dec. 2, 1994, in Obici Hospital.
Mrs. Gentry was born in Unicoi County, Tenn. She co-owned with her husband Gentry's Auto Parts, Suffolk, and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and the Sarah E. Powell Bible Class.
Survivors include her husband, Voyd H. Gentry; two daughters, Brenda G. Montgomery of Suffolk and Wanda G. Robinson of Chesapeake; a sister, Pauline T. Cash of Erwin, Tenn.; two brothers, Bruce Thomas of Johnson City, Tenn., and Ray Thomas of Townsend, Del.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Frank D. Gentry, and her parents, Minnie Cantrell Thomas and John B. Thomas.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Liberty Baptist Church, Suffolk, by the Rev. T.A. Powell and the Rev. Allen L. Dooley. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and other times at the residence.
