CAROLYN P. BURNS

Carolyn P. Burns, born in Portsmouth, moved to Texas in 1967, where she resided until her death Saturday, Dec. 3, 1994.

A homemaker for the last three years, she worked with ceramics and crafts, displaying her work at local craft shows, and had retired from All States Business Products in Grand Prairie. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laughter and never-ending caring for others.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clifton L. Payne and is survived by her mother, Cora L. Payne of Chesapeake, Va.; husband of 33 years, Jesse F. Burns of Grand Prairie; four sons, James C. Burns and daughter-in-law, Kathy E., Barry W. Burns, Larry W. Burns of Arlington, John P. Burns of Grand Prairie; three grandchildren, Cindy Burns, Matthew S. Burns and Michael A. Burns; sisters, Patricia Marshall of Portsmouth, Lois Walski of Chesapeake, Iris Payne of Willow Park, Texas, and Sadie Collin of Woodbridge, Va.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5, 1994, at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home. Interment will be at Hawkins Cemetery in Arlington, with the Rev. Donny Smith officiating.
