Josephine J. Vaughan, 73, of the 3000 block of Portland St., died Dec. 4, 1994.
Mrs. Vaughan was born in Aulander, N.C. She was a 47-year member and deaconess of Third Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James C. Vaughan; three daughters, Josephine V. McClain, Jacqueline V. Edwards and Alvera V. DeLoatch; a son, Frank S. Parker; five sisters, Irene Moody, Mary Chamblee, Ruby Perry, Berthina Chamblee and Leatha Holley; two brothers, Matthew Jordan and Lonnie Jordan; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Third Baptist Church by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. The body will be placed in church at 1 p.m. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
