James A. Willie, 78, formerly of the 1800 block of Cavalier Blvd., a retired general foreman, died Dec. 3, 1994, in his residence.
Mr. Willie was born in Norfolk County and retired from the Naval Supply Center after 33 years. He was the widower of Vivian Diggs Willie. He was a member of First Baptist Church West Norfolk and chairman of the Trustee Board, and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn J. Smith and Eleanor M. Brown; two sisters, Ethel Willie and Ida M. Elliott; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a devoted son-in-law, Jerome H. Smith; sister-in-law, Ellen Marie Willie; and brother-in-law, Father Arcelious Elliott.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church West Norfolk by the Rev. I.S. Waters. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends at 1502 Bardot Lane and will assemble there for the processional. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
