An overnight raid on a Camden County nightclub netted two arrests early Monday morning, Sheriff Joe Jones said.
Camden Sheriff's officials served a search warrant on Liz's Place on Bourbon St., with help from the Edenton Police K-9 unit, the Dare County Sheriff's K-9 unit, Elizabeth City Police, state Alcohol Law Enforcement officials and the N.C. Highway Patrol, Jones said.
About 100 patrons were in and near the building, and some marijuana and crack cocaine was found, Jones said.
A Norfolk man, Herman Lee Penney, 59, was arrested on charges that included possessing less than a half-ounce of marijuana and selling alcohol without a permit. A second man, Kevin Tracy Walston, 33, of Chesapeake, was arrested on charges of resisting an officer, Jones said.
