BANKING ON CREDIT CARDS TO STUDENTS

It alarms me that my two children, who attend college, have received several offers of credit cards.

The latest advertises ``No fee. No worries. We're looking out for you.'' This seems misleading, considering how easily debt can grow and how difficult it is to reduce.

Isn't it enough that many students must graduate with huge tuition loans to repay? Must they also face credit-card debt before they ever hold a full-time position in the workplace?

Targeting college students makes banks appear greedy and deceitful.
