Jennie Britt Williams, 93, of the 200 block of Palmyra Drive, a homemaker, died Dec. 8, 1994, in Hillhaven-Nansemond Nursing Center.
Mrs. Williams was born in Hertford County, N.C. She was the daughter of the late Mary Beale Britt and Walter Lewis Britt and wife of the late Charlie Edward Williams. She was a member of Mount Carmel Christian Church, Walters, Va.
Survivors include five daughters, Margaret Griffis of Franklin, Va., Martha Lessie of Charlottesville, Va., Fannie Saunders of Windsor, Va., Christine Whitley of Sedley, Va. and Mary W. Jones of Suffolk; three sisters, Lucille B. Edwards of Franklin and Helen Britt and Thelma Britt, both of Murfreesboro, N.C.; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. J. Robert Bennett and the Rev. J. Waverly Horne. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Christian Church Cemetery, Walters. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at the residence at other times.
