RICHARD F. DAVISON SR.

Richard F. Davison Sr., 75, retired Chief Warrant Officer 4, U.S. Navy, died Friday, Dec. 2, 1994, at his residence.

Mr. Davison, who was born in Melrose, Mass., was a long-time resident of Norfolk and was the widower of Catherine Vaughan Davison. Mr. Davison was a Baptist, and a member of the Old Codgers Citizen Band Radio Club, the Fleet Reserve, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post (NU)9873 and a charter member of Good Sam Club. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and the Good Conduct Medal, having served during the Korean War and the Vietnam conflict.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, William and Lynn Davison of Elizabeth City, N.C.; two brothers, Norman Davison of Lee High Acres, Fla., and Robert Davison of North Billerica, Mass., five grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, Dec. 12, at 2 p.m., at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Norfolk, Chaplain Kingwood presiding. Friends may join the family at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. for visitation. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
