WILLIAM KIDDER

William ``Blink'' Kidder, 76, of Newport News and formerly of Virginia Beach, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 1994, at Kecoughtan Veterans Palliative Care Program, Newport News.

He retired from the Army as a Major and served in World War II and the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine Righter Kidder of Newport News; two sons, Sturgis L. Kidder of Virginia Beach and William W. Kidder of New Jersey; four stepsons, Steven Righter of Richmond, Stuart Righter and Grover Righter, both of California, and George Righter of Williamsburg; three grandsons, Benjamin Kidder, Jonathan Kidder and Andrew Kidder, all of Virginia Beach; and eight stepgrandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, with full military honors, at Fort Meyers Chapel in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. It is requested that any memorial contributions be sent to the Palliative Care Program. The address is PCP/VAMC, building 114, Hampton, Va. 23667. Peninsula Funeral home, Newport News, is handling arrangements.
