WILLIAM J. YOUNG

William Junior Young of the 2700 block of Grandy Ave., died Dec. 9, 1994 in his residence.

Mr. Young was born in Belton, S.C. He retired from Leigh Memorial Hospital after 22 years and Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 17 years. He was a member of New Light Baptist Church, a World War II Navy veteran and a mason.

Survivors include his wife, Martha E. Young; several cousins, Jake Burn, Julia Pitt, Luvenia Rogers, Will Keith, all of New York, and Zeck Keith of South Carolina; and a very special friend, William Mayfield of Suffolk. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ella B. Young and William Junior Young, Sr.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday at New Light Baptist Church, 5549 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Rudolph B. Lewis. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will assemble at his residence.
