FRED JUDD BENDER

Fred Judd Bender ``Jay'', 58, died Dec. 5, 1994, in Arlington, Wash.

He was the only son of the late Dorothy and Fred Bender, former owners of the Half Way House in Richmond, Va. He served as a pageboy in the Virginia legislature, was a graduate of Fork Union Military Academy and attended the University of Richmond.

He is survived by his son, Fred Jay Bender of Corolla, N.C.; and three daughters, Deborah Bender of Silvana, Wash., Dianne McKee of Fredricksburg, Va., and Trenor Bender of Kitty Hawk, N.C.

His ashes will be returned to Corolla, N.C. for a seaside memorial and burial off the Carolina coast that he loved and will take place on April 6, 1995. His friends will be notified of the time and place.
