Spaghetti may not be what most people think of when they talk about a holiday dinner, but it was the centerpiece of a special meal for about 350 local youths Saturday.
The Spaghetti Warehouse in Norfolk hosted the children at a holiday meal organized for participants of the anti-drug DARE program.
Children came from Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach. They were escorted by police officers and sheriff's deputies from the cities.
``For the kids, it was great, but we're all pretty wiped out,'' said restaurant general manager Bob Duzey. ``But every kid walked out of here with a major smile on his face.'' by CNB
