Local police are asking public assistance in solving these cases:
PORTSMOUTH
On Sunday, Nov. 20, about 2:30a.m., someone broke into the Suburban Pharmacy at 3701 King St. by going in through the roof.
The intruder tripped a motion detector, which set off a surveillance camera and an alarm.
The noise was enough to scare the intruder, and he fled before he could take anything. He escaped by using a crowbar to break the glass on the front door.
The intruder is described as white and in his late 20s. He was wearing a baseball cap, gloves, dark pants and a three-quarter-length coat or jacket. Investigators believe he may be responsible for several other break-ins in the city.
VIRGINIA BEACH
Virginia Beach police are looking for one man for malicious assault and another for burglaries.
Dmarius Esuell Cox, 20, who also goes by the name ``D,'' is wanted for an assault on another man on Aug. 5. He allegedly used a broken bottle to cut the man.
Cox is described as black, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 140 pounds and has short black hair. His last known address was in the 300 block of Kellam Road.
Michael Lavonn Snowden, 22, is wanted for 13 burglaries and 13 grand larcenies in the Lake Edward area.
Snowden is described as black, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 158 pounds and has short black hair. His last known address was in the 5600 block of Dodington Court.
HAMPTON
Police are asking help in solving a burglary and rape.
On Monday, Nov. 21, about 8:30p.m., the victim was alone in her home in the 3000 block of N. Armistead Ave. when she noticed the front door lock being jiggled.
The door was then forced open and a man came in and sexually assaulted the woman.
The man is described as white, about 30, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 165 pounds, with reddish hair and a beard. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue jeans and had a distinct body odor. ILLUSTRATION: Photos
