John Demetros, 85, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 1994, at Heritage Hall, Nassawadox.
Mr. Demetros was born in Greece, son of the late Demetriou and Helen Philippou. He was the retired owner of Mr. D's, a restaurant in Williamsburg. He was a member of Greek Orthodox Church in Newport News and Exmore Moose Lodge (NU)683. He was the husband of the late Katherine Duer Demetros.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Charlotte Hudgins of Virginia Beach and Peggy Camp of Hampton; a son, John P. Demetros of Newport News; a brother, Charles Philippou of Valley Stream, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore, by the Rev. Dr. Robert L. Gue. Burial will be in Belle Haven Cemetery.
