Marvin Carl Smith, 77, of the 5600 block of River Bluff Drive, retired owner of Nelson & Smith Heating & Air Conditioning, died Dec. 11, 1994, in Suffolk.
Mr. Smith was born in Shenandoah, Va. He was a member of Lake Wales United Methodist Church in Lake Wales, Fla.; America Fellowship Lodge (NU)148 AF & AM; past master, America Lodge (NU)330 AF & AM; past district deputy grand master, 34th Masonic District; Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies; Khedive Temple Yacht Club; and Elizabeth Manor Country Club. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and Korea.
Survivors include his wife, Louise I. Smith; a son, Zuddie Smith of Suffolk; two sisters, Velma Kite and Dorothy Cave, both of Shenandoah, Va.; and a brother, Edward Smith of Huntsville, Va.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. E. Clifton Whitlock. The family will be at Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, Koger Center, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
