Barbara A. Lathinghouse, 65, of Holiday Island, Hertford, and formerly of Virginia Beach, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 1994, in Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City.
Mrs. Lathinghouse was born in Everett, Mass. and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She was a retired LPN from Virginia Beach General Hospital after 25 years. She served as a volunteer for the Open Door Chapel in Hertford and was active in the civic league at Holiday Island.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd T. Lathinghouse; a daughter, Lori A. Lawson of Virginia Beach; two sons, Wayne F. and wife, Gwynne Lathinghouse of Virginia Beach, and Keith A. Lathinghouse of Norfolk; and a grandson, Chris Lawson.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Rosewood Memorial Park by Pastor Ken Carbaugh. Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel. Memorials may be made to the SPCA of Virginia Beach.
