Florence Winslow Oliver, 106, a resident of Sunnyside Presbyterian Home, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 1994, at the home where she had lived since Dec. 12, 1969.
A daughter of the late Joseph Augustus and Fannie Jeanette Henley Winslow, she was born on Aug. 4, 1888, in Norfolk, where she lived the majority of her life. She was a member of Squires Memorial Presbyterian Church in Norfolk.
On Oct. 4, 1939, she married Albert F. Oliver who preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 1967. She was the last surviving member of the immediate family.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, with the Rev. Susan Cothran officiating. Those desiring to do so may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or to Sunnyside Presbyterian Home in her memory. The Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements.
