George Brice Maccubbin Jr., 72, of the 1200 block of Foursome Lane, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Maccubbin was born in Norfolk and was a member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk. He was retired as a salesman for Joyce Office Products, formerly Hampton Roads Paper Products, after 30 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Leona G. Maccubbin; two daughters, Juliana M. Davenport of Norfolk and Kimille A. Johnson of Virginia Beach; a son, G. Brice Maccubbin V of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren, Chase Hall Davenport, Cameron Earl Davenport, Kristin Grace Stanley, Jeffrey O'Neal Stanley, Lindsey Page Maccubbin and Evan Brice Maccubbin; and two great-grandchildren, Mykell and Kristopher Stanley.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church of Norfolk by the Rev. Doyle Chauncey. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall, Kempsville Chapel, from 7 to 9 pm. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church building fund.
