HERMAN C. SCAFF

Herman Charlton Scaff, 78, of Moyock, died Monday night in Chesapeake General Hospital.

He was a native of Currituck County and retired from Ford Motor Co. as a scheduling adviser. He was a member of Moyock Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was the son of the late William Frederick and Alice Charlton Scaff and the husband of Florence Basnight Scaff of the home.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Frederick T. Scaff of Columbus, Miss.; two brothers, Marvin L. Scaff and Walter Howard Scaff, both of Moyock; and three granddaughters.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. in Moyock Baptist Church by the Rev. Vic Ramsey. Burial will follow in Moyock Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Twiford's Memorial Chapel on Church Street, Elizabeth City. Memorial gifts may be made to the Moyock Baptist Church Building Fund.
