Anna Marie Hoover, 77, of the 1300 block of Fentress Road, died Tuesday, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Hoover was born in Key West, Fla., and was the daughter of the late William and Ada Pender Gibson. She was a member of Blackwater Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Sidney J. Hoover; two daughters, Mavourneen E. White of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Ann Renee Tucker of Virginia Beach; one brother, George Gibson of Key West, Fla.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, on Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Ralph Horn. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
