Steven Winston ``Monk'' White, 70, of the 5400 block of Marsh Creek Drive, died Dec. 13, 1994, in Jacksonville.
Mr. White, a native of Bertie County, N.C., was raised in Portsmouth, Va., and moved to Jacksonville in 1967. He had retired as purchasing manager for CSX after 40 years and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Warwick White; two daughters, Hope Meyer of Orlando, Fla., and Stephanie Apsey of Atlanta; his mother, Maude Hope White of Harrellsville, N.C.; a sister, Mary Gray Drewery of Newport News; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Timothy Piland. Loving Funeral Home Chapel, Churchland, is handling arrangements.
