Mary Ann Didio Tompkins, 43, died Dec. 13, 1994, in a Houston, Texas hospital.
Mrs. Tompkins was born and raised in Portsmouth. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her loving husband, James Tompkins of Amarillo, Texas; her parents, Carlo and Shirley Didio; two sisters, Teresa D. Cockrell and Joan Didio, all of Portsmouth; four brothers, Joe Didio of Windsor, Carl Didio and Jerry Didio, both of Chesapeake, and Louis Didio of Portsmouth; two nieces and seven nephews.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, in St. Paul's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, 601 Children's Lane, Norfolk, Va. 23507, or to a charity of choice.
