Robert R. Younce, 70, of the 3400 block of Bertha St., a retired boiler technician, died Dec. 15, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Younce was born in Norton, Va., and was retired from ODU after 20 years. He was also retired from the Navy after 26 years and was a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of Dormition of Blessed Virgin Mary Eastern Orthodox Church and Fleet Reserve Branch (NU)60.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Younce; a daughter, Nina M. Jones of Norfolk; two sons, Robert R. Younce II of Chesapeake and Michael P. Younce of Douglasville, Ga.; four half brothers in Tennessee; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, in Dormition of Blessed Virgin Mary Eastern Orthodox Church. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. Donations may be made to Dormition of Blessed Virgin Mary Eastern Orthodox Church.
