Marjorie McElrath Major, 87, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 1994, in her Norfolk residence.
Mrs. Major was born in Murray, Ky., and was a member of the Murray United Methodist Church. She was the widow of William Samuel Major.
Survivors include a daughter, Ellen M. Sell and a son, Robert L. Major, both of Norfolk; and two grandchildren, Katie Sell of Norfolk and Andrew Sell of Boston, Mass.
Mrs. Major will be sent to the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Murray, Ky., where a funeral service will be conducted on Monday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. in Murray United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Murray Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Window Fund of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Cox Funeral Home is handling local arrangements.
