MARIE P. CARROLL

Marie Prillaman Carroll, 87, formerly of the 400 block of Shenandoah St., died Dec. 20, 1994, in Portsmouth.

Mrs. Carroll was a native of Henry, Va., and was the widow of Clyde N. Carroll Sr. She was a member of Monumental United Methodist Church, past Sunday School teacher and member of Portsmouth Woman's Club.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Clyde N. Carroll Jr. of Suffolk; three sisters, Nell Wray and Estelle Prillaman, both of Collinsville, Va., and Grace Flippin of Roanoke, Va.; three grandchildren, Dr. Steven Carroll, Teresa Malyshev and Grace Carroll; and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Evergreen Memorial Park by the Rev. Raymond Edmonds and the Rev. Beverly Watkins. The family will receive friends in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
