CORRECTIONS
George Bush was the first military combat pilot elected president of
the United States, but the first licensed pilot to become president
was Dwight D. Eisenhower. A story Sunday about the anniversary of
the Wright brothers' first flight had an error.
Clients of the failed Sun Coast Realty of Virginia Beach will
receive about $600,000. A headline Tuesday with the story's
continuation had the wrong amount.
Gov. George F. Allen has recommended a 50 percent cut next year in
the state's $500,000 allotment for Thomas Jefferson's home at Poplar
Forest in Bedford County. A story Tuesday reported incorrectly that
Allen spared Poplar Forest from cuts that affected other historical
sites and museums.
