Shoot into dwelling: 4000 block Presley Court, Dec. 9, person was watching TV when he heard a loud boom and observed bullet holes in sliding door and opposite window. The person heard a loud vehicle leaving the front of the residence. Damage indicates a shotgun was used.
Breaking and entering (business): 4300 block Cole Avenue, Dec. 11, while responding to a call of a suspicious person at a vacant residence, officer found that east side door of business had been kicked in. Missing items included a 30-cup Proctor Silex coffee maker and coffee.
Breaking and entering (house): 3400 block Bob White Lane, Dec. 13, person entered home by back window and removed gas credit card. Also taken was front license plate to car.
Breaking and entering (business): 4700 block Sleepy Hole Road, Dec. 14, person(s) gained entry by breaking out side entrance door glass and removed a Panosonic VCR.

Breaking and entering (house): 100 block Grayson Court, Dec. 8, someone entered through rear door and took a radio/cassette/clock/phone, a Howard Miller pendulum clock and a 24'' model.
Grand larceny: 200 block Pinner Street, Dec. 8, unknown person(s) removed a G.E. refrigerator, a metal cabinet, a wooden cabinet and coffee and end tables from a vacant apartment.
Attempted residential breaking and entering: 700 block Wilroy Road, Dec. 10, suspect attempted to gain entry into residence by prying open the window.
Missing juvenile: 300 block York Street, Dec. 10, Shaquanda Janine Atkinson, a black female, 5'3'', 129 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, aged 13 years left home and has not yet returned. Her nickname is Jenney and she may be in the company of Keesha Cherry.
Breaking and entering (house): 1400 block N. Capital Street, Dec. 11, unknown person(s) entered by north side window taking ivory draperies and assorted meats.
Hit and run property damage: Whitemarsh and Truman Roads, Dec. 11, car was struck while in use damaging the side of the vehicle.
Petit larceny: 400 block E. Washington Street, Dec. 11, front license plate was taken from vehicle.
Petit larceny: 1200 block River Road, Dec. 12, city decal removed from vehicle.
Breaking and entering (house): 1200 block River Road, Dec. 12, a cabin was entered and a Emerson 20'' color TV, a Panosonic cassette radio and 8 pool sticks were removed.
Petit larceny: 300 block Baker Street, Dec. 12, a Virginia inspection decal was removed from vehicle.
Petit larceny: 300 block Oak Street, Dec. 12, a Virginia inspection decal was removed from vehicle.
Assault and battery: 200 block Oak Street, Dec. 13, an argument led to a physical altercation between husband and wife.
Armed robbery: 300 block Spruce Street, Dec. 13, a person was on his bike when someone put a knife to his throat and demanded money, threatening to kill him if he did not comply. The victim jumped off bike and fled and the 93 Roadmaster Mountain Climber bicycle was taken.
Breaking and entering (business): 400 block E. Washington Street, Dec. 14, in reporting to an alarm, officer found the front door of the business broken out. Several pieces of clothing were missing including a leather Guess coat.
Breaking and entering (garage): 200 block Pinner Street, Dec. 14, person(s) forced entry into garage and removed a Craftsman lawnmower, a Craftsman power blower and a weekwacker.
Petit larceny: 200 block N. 5th Street, Dec. 14, Virginia license plates were removed from a vehicle.
Breaking and entering (attempt): 2200 block E. Washington, Dec. 14, suspect tried prying open back window; fled on foot when discovered by resident. Breaking and entering (warehouse) 900 block Portsmouth Blvd., Dec. 14, person(s) forced their way into shed and removed a compressor.
Grand larceny: 300 block Bank Street, Dec. 14, 13'' color TV, RCA portable cd/cassette boom box, Portland microwave oven, Sega Genesis game system and typewriter were taken from an apartment.
DISTRICT C
Hit and run property damage: 2000 block Godwin Blvd., Dec. 8, someone struck an '83 Olds on the passenger side rear quarter panel while driver was stopped at at stop sign. Driver followed suspect who left vehicle and fled the scene.
Hit and run property damage: 800 block 2nd Avenue, Dec. 9, vehicle struck a car parked on the side of the road and left the area without stopping.
Grand larceny: 800 block Constance Road, Dec. 12, a maroon and blue purse containing approximately $22 in cash, a Virginia drivers license, various credit cards and personal checks, was snatched.
Strong arm robbery: 200 block Pine Street, Dec. 14, person approached victim and demanded money, threatening to kill him if he did not comply. Cash was taken and the robber fled from the scene.

Grand larceny auto: 9700 block New Road, Dec. 13, a person took a '66 Ford Mustand without permission.
Grand larceny: 1600 block Holland Road, Dec. 14, Remington 870 12-gauge shotgun, a Remington 20-gauge shotgun and a Mosin Nagant Mai rifle taken from vehicle. by CNB
