Mrs. Vashti Langdale Mitchell, 80, of the 200 block of Elm St., died Dec. 21, 1994, at her home after a long illness.
She was a native of Bertie County, a member of Greens Cross Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Yvonne M. Williams of Windsor; a son, Joseph E. Mitchell of Minneapolis, Minn.; her mother, Elizabeth White Langdale of Windsor; a sister, Annie L. Hogggard of Windsor; a brother, John S. Langdale of Weaverville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Greens Cross Baptist Church with burial in Edgewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 203 Elm St., Windsor. Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
