Katherine Opal Dixon Cohenour, 62, of the 500 block of Dinwiddie Court, died Wednesday in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mrs. Cohenour was born in Blue Sulphur Springs, W.Va., and was the daughter of Annie Smith Midkiff of Alderson, W.Va., and the late John Davis Midkiff. She was also predeceased by her brother, Theodore Midkiff.
She was a member of the Church of God in Alderson, W.Va.
Survivors include her former husband, Clayton Edward Dixon of Chesapeake; five daughters, Marsha Ann Phllips and Misty Dunagan, both of Chesapeake, Gloria Treadway of Christiansburg, Va., Ellen Fostek and Brenda Dixon, both of Radford, Va.; her son, John Dixon of Chesapeake; one sister, Gladys Bowden of Alderson, W.Va.; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Meadowbrook Memorial Park by the Rev. Randy Wooden. There will be no public viewing. Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, is handling arrangements.
