Regarding ``Welfare: the racial ratios'' (letter, Dec. 12): Finally, the unspoken is clearly spoken.
Could it be, only 30 years since major civil-rights legislation was passed by our Congress to protect minorities from hate and other miscellaneous cruelties perpetrated by the majorities, that we have gone full circle?
Does the majority think of minority Americans as less than full citizens, their future as apart from America's future, their people less than human? Is this why the majority finds the prospect of destroying the last remnants of our most fragile families - the welfare class - doing welfare ``de-form'' in the name of welfare reform - so bloody palatable?
America is terminally racist. Shame on us.
