Jessie J. Wright, a retired registered nurse, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1994, in a Norfolk health care center.
She worked as a private duty nurse for many years and also was the secretary for the late Dr. Frank Smart.
Mrs. Wright, born in Danville, Va., was the daughter of the late John Henry and Helen Hatchett Johnston and was the widow of Joseph W. Wright. She was a member of Ghent United Methodist Church and was a graduate of the Norfolk General Hospital School of Nursing.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Elmwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters or to your favorite charity. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
