OFFEND JAPAN, GET RESPECT

Powerful Japan is once again using its dictatorial powers in preventing the issuance of an American postage stamp depicting the first atomic bomb that ended World War II.

President Clinton has agreed and stated that we must comply so that we do not affect our good relations with Japan.

What are our good relations? A tremendous relentless deficit in our trade balance. One of the largest armies in the world, which they call their home defense army. Stockpiling plutonium, which they claim they need for future power requirements.

All of the neighboring Asian countries are alarmed at Japan's unbridled advances. Let's not forget another stamp in the World War II series, depicting the attack on Pearl Harbor and the burning and listing of the USS Arizona, which entombed more than 2,000 Navy men in its watery grave.

I suggest that President Clinton should at least join the Boy Scouts so that he may appear as a formidable military person, which the Japanese have learned through experience to respect.
