SAMUEL L. BURNETT

Samuel L. Burnett, 36, a retired yeoman first class, died Dec. 22, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. Burnett was born in Jamaica Queens, N.Y. He had retired from the Navy after 16 years. He was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, Chesapeake.

Survivors include his mother, Carrie Burnett of Jamaica Queens, N.Y.; three sisters, Kathy Burnett and Sabrina Burnett, both of Jamaica Queens, and Mary Burnett of Flushing, N.Y.; five brothers, Stanley Nathan Miller of New Jersey, Reginald Burnett of the Bronx, N.Y., Michael Burnett and Lenice Burnett, both of Jamaica Queens, and William Burnett of Savannah, Ga.; numerous nieces and nephews; one aunt, two great-aunts and a dear friend, Kenneth Johnson of Virginia Beach.

Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, N.Y. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling local arrangements. The body is being sent to Gilmores Funeral Home in St. Albans Queens, N.Y., for services and burial.
