WILLIAM B. GRIFFIN

William Bernard Griffin, 83, died Dec. 28, 1994, in Bradenton, Fla.

Born in Southampton County, he was the son of the late James Walter and Alma Epps Griffin. He attended Wakefield High School and was a retired auto mechanic and former employee of the Midway Service Station in Wakefield. He was a member of Elam Baptist Church in Sussex County.

He is survived by his brothers, O.C. Griffin of Wakefield and W.W. Griffin of Dolphin, Va.; and his sisters, LeClare G. Brittle of Wakefield, Christine G. Vaden of Richmond, Virginia G. Wright of Colorodo Springs, Colo., and Betty Lineberry of Wakefield. He was the brother of the late W.C. Griffin.

Graveside services will be held in Millfield Baptist Church Cemetery, Ivor, at 11 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Michael W. Harrell. The family will be at the residence of O.C. Griffin, 427 W. Main St., Wakefield. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel, is handling the arrangemnets.
