Sharon Y. Newell Barnes, 38, of the 60 block of Dale Dr., died Dec. 26, 1994, in Maryview Medical Center.
She was a native of Portsmouth.
She is survived by her two daughters, Eboni Y. Barnes and Feonda Barnes, both of Portsmouth; her parents, Lucy and Thomas Newell of Portsmouth; five sisters, Barbara Brown of Camp Springs, Md., Betty Buck of Courtland, Va., Clauzell Dudley of Temple Hills, Md., Lowretha Cansler of Portsmouth, and Patsy Lee of Suitland, Md.; one brother, Lee Newell of Greensboro, N.C.; two grandsons, Fabein Barnes-Johnson and Robert Barnes; and two granddaughters, Sharonda Barnes and Shakaira Barnes, all of Portsmouth.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Fourth Baptist Church by the Rev. James A. Seaton. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Viewing will be at Corprew Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Friday. the body will be taken to the church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Family and friends will assemble at 1509 Elm Ave. for the service.
