Dorothy Johnston Potts, 70, of the 5600 block of Tidewater Drive, died Dec. 28, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Potts was born in Charleston, S.C., and was the widow of John Thompson Potts Sr.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra T. Pierce and Pamela Ames of Chesapeake; a stepdaughter, Julia Branch of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; a son, William H. Thacker of Norfolk; a stepson, John T. Potts Jr. of Crownsville, Md.; two sisters, Edna Fralix of James Island, S.C., and Marion Spencer of Charleston; a brother, Hugh Elrod of North Charleston, S.C.; an aunt, Elizabeth Busch, and an uncle, Arthur Chubb, both of James Island; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a dear friend, Dee Jackson of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Warren Chapman. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
