Melvin Theodore Brinkley, 60, of the 100 block of Patnor Drive, a retired electrician, died Dec. 29, 1994, in Hampton.
Mr. Brinkley was born in Portsmouth and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Shop 07. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy D. Brinkley; a daughter, Kimberly B. Fox of Chespeake; two sons, Melvin T. Brinkley Jr. of Moyock, N.C. and Daniel K. Brinkley of Florida; a brother, A.H. Brinkley of Chesapeake; four grnachildren; a daughter-in-law, Debra Brinkley; and a son-in-law, Mark E. Fox.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Bruce Stutzma. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
