Sarah Frances McDonald, 87, formerly of Dungee St., died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1995, in Baltimore, Md.
Mrs. McDonald was a native of Norfolk and a retired seamstress. She was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Roxie Simmons Bowser. She was the widow of Marshall McDonald and was predeceased by a son, Marshall McDonald Jr. She was a former member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a member of St. Ambrose in Baltimore.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Bowser Adderly of Baltimore, Frances McDonald of Chesapeake and Idelle Gordon of New Jersey; one son, John McDonald of Dale City, Va.; 23 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted by Father Walter C. Barrett on Saturday, Jan. 7, 1995, at 10 a.m. in Basilica of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be today from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will be placed in church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday where the family will assemble at 9:45 a.m. At other times the family will be at 2623 Evers Court in the Sunrise Hills section of Chesapeake. Riddick Funeral Service, Norview Ave., is in charge.
