Clarence I. Garber, 73, of Virginia Beach, died Jan. 6, 1995, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mr. Garber was a native of Holy-oke, Mass. He was a member of Temple Emanuel in Virginia Beach. He was a Navy veteran with 30 years of service to his country and served in the Vietnam and Korean wars. Mr. Garber was a former member of the Masons. Mr. Garber was predeceased by a son, Frederic V. Garber.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte M. Garber; a daughter, Sandra Garber Howe; a son, Michael David Garber, all of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Evelyn Greenberg of Springfield, Mass., and Irene Bernstein of South Hadley, Mass.; one brother, Robert Garber of Cheltenham, Pa.; and four granddaughters, Lisa J. Howe, Jennifer L. Howe, Elizabeth M. Garber and Rebecca L. Garber, all of Virginia Beach. He was an adored husband, a loving father and a caring grandfather. His family will deeply miss him.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk by Rabbi Elliott M. Marmon. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Foundation. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
