John D. ``Jack'' Scarborough Sr., 63, of the 200 block of Armstrong St., an auto mechanic, died Jan. 4, 1995.
Mr. Scarborough was born in Manteo and was a member of New First Baptist Church Taylorsville. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Cenie Scarborough; seven daughters, Velma Lashley, Andrea Scarborough, Gearldine Lassiter, Martha Mitchell, Sharon Scarborough, Gloria Barkley and Vivian Yancey; five sons, Delton, John D. Jr., Leroy and Donnell Scarborough and Curtis Carter; 30 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in New First Baptist Church Taylorsville by the Rev. T.M. Steele. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The body will be placed in church at 10 a.m.
